So it would have been pointless to keep going with it. then started with the up arrow and page up, but didn't matter, they were still linked together. I thought I'd just remap all the buttons in flirc. When I checked in the flirc full keyboard, it was back to the above behaviour of being bound together. but then it just decided it didn't want to do it any more. Then tried remapping them and at one point it worked. I gave the menu button the ContextMenu command, and I gave ch + - buttons the page up and page down commands. I believe that's what you're referring to? I followed the zen page and did as it says, but it still failed. I did that in the harmony software, buttons. Same goes for the down arrow and page down.Īs for altering the activity. some how they're bound together in the flirc software. When I push the page up button it lights up the up arrow green. In the flirc full keyboard when I push up it lights up the up arrow green. Takes me forever to get through it.Īnyways, sorry for that, but any help would be appreciated. I'm either a robot and don't know it, or that thing is as much bs as can be create by some morons at google. I hope we don't have to use that every time we log in like some sites. I'm so confused now that I can't recall the other issues.Īlso, for the love of all things holy get rid of recaptcha. by default it in harmony the menu button isn't used. again I remapped this in the harmony software and synced it. It just sits there saying press button to pair. I push C (For context menu to map) press the "menu" button on the remote and nothing happens. can't seem to get it to work again.Ģ) the "menu" button on the 650 harmony remote doesn't exist in flirc keyboard. In the harmony software I remapped the buttons as it shows, but after I sync it, and then run the flirc software - ok after many many tries. I followed the zendesk support and I still am having issues.ġ) page up and page down are the same button in flirc full keyboard. Any MCE dongle will work fine with WMC as I stated earlier.īetter yet, get the Inteset which is FAR more programmable (macros, activities, etc.).I just bought a flirc, so far, I like it except for the few frustration issues I'm running into. So no jumping through hoops with EventGhost and what not. It uses exactly the same IR codes as WMC. Just get any flavor of an Xbox 360 Remote. You'd have a pretty remote for sure, but it won't control WMC without an FLIRC dongle and some extra programming. Xbox One codes are not compatible with WMC. dia-remoteI think you should avoid Xbox One remotes. There is also this which might work natively with your PC. Eventghost has a plugin for receiving remote input from a regular XB1 controller provided you have the dongle. ote-review It looks like it might communicate via RF like a regular XB1 controller. The remote itself MIGHT be programmable.Įdit: Here is a review of the remote. B01GOK34SO but I bet you will still need something like EventGhost to translate the the signal from remote to emulated keystrokes or web commands into WMC. You might be able to use something like this. The link is for the MCE Controller TCP server that works in conjunction with theHomeRemote or other solution that uses TCP (control via wifi or LAN) not IR. For a universal remote option, theHomeRemote plus MCE Controller works great.įor the Kindel link apologies Dave what is that for? Is it used for configuring remotes to use Media Center? Or, for ultimate flexibility, get an FLIRC and use any remote codes you want.Īs mentioned earlier, there are many phone based remote apps that work over wifi and do full qwerty and mouse for free. Stick with Rosewill or something similar. Just avoid those ultra-cheap (<$8) Chinese ones. Your Harmony won't work without a dongle. So may as well buy a cheap MCE remote anyway. Of course, you need an IR dongle to go with it. Any MCE or Ortek with "the green button" will launch WMC, as will any universal with MCE codes (like Harmony).
